45th SEASON PRODUCTION UNDERWRITING OPPORTUNITIES

This level provides benefits in accordance with the donor’s request. Please contact us to discuss your advertisement, ticket, and theatre experience opportunities. You can select from some of the benefit options below and create new opportunities based on your interests and needs.

Education and Outreach

Summer Camp Sponsor

Sponsor one or more students for participation in our Youth Musical Theatre Intensives or sponsor supplies, production materials, or underwrite college internship honorariums.

Community Conversations Sponsor

Sponsor the series or a single conversation and help JPAS expand its educational and community outreach, partnerships, and audiences through discussions tied to themes in our 45th season productions.

About JPAS YMTI summer programs:

  • Approximately 45-75 students in 3rd-12th grade participate each summer in one of three musical theatre intensives operated by JPAS staff.
  • The cost of each one 3-week intensive is $545 per student.
  • Students learn the “A to Z” of theatrical production and all students are given a role in the final stage production, presented to the public the final weekend of camp.
  • Students gain not only theatrical experience, but self-confidence and other life skills, as well as form new lifelong friendships during these three weeks of intense theatrical work and play.
  • Unfortunately, not all families can afford this program, resulting in a less inclusive and diverse summer camp community.
  • Camp also provides local college students with meaningful summer jobs that often are the first theatrical work they can put on their resumes. However, the budget for staffing camps is limited so we sometimes miss out on hiring talented aspiring theater professionals because they may find other summer jobs that offer better compensation (and for a longer time period).

Camp Sponsorship Opportunities:

  • Scholar Sponsor: Sponsor one student at one camp for $545; Sponsor three students (one student per camp) for $1,635
  • Aspiring Theatre Professional Sponsorship: Underwrite a competitive salary for one summer camp college staffer: $1,000 per camp or $3,000 total for three camps
  • Backstage Sponsor: Supply campers with state-of-the-art costumes and props for their final production: $1,500
  • Camp Lagniappe Sponsor: Supply campers, counselors, and volunteers with the necessary supplies of bottled water, masks, snacks, scripts, and other items that add up quickly, especially when producing a camp and a production during Covid. $2,000 per camp or $6,000 total

COMMUNITY CONVERSATIONS are held at Jefferson Performing Arts Center one month prior to the related JPAS show opening. They are open to JPAS patrons and to the general public and are recorded for posting publicly. All conversations are from 3:00 p.m.- 4:30 p.m. on Sunday afternoons.

  • SISTAS THE MUSICAL: What is Unique about Black Women and Family, Grief, and Gratitude?
  • MURDER ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS: Xenophobia in Agatha Christie: How Do you Present or Revise Stories that have Offensive Characters?
  • MISERY: Stephen King and Mental Illness
  • CAROUSEL:  Riding the Carousel of Domestic Abuse: Why is it such a familiar story??

$5,000 Level:  SERIES PRESENTING SPONSOR: Sponsor all 6 Community Conversations

$1,000 Level:  EVENT SPONSOR:  Sponsor one Community Conversation of your choice
