Young Elsa & Young Anna Frozen Auditions

Frozen 1600x1000

Audition Information:

When: Wednesday, September 17th, 6:00–8:00 PM
Where: 177 Sala Ave, Westwego Cultural Center

Before signing up, please see the attached rehearsal schedule and note any conflicts your child may have. Your child may not be called for all rehearsals, but they would need to be available for all tech dates and performances.

We encourage performers to learn both roles, as casting may include some flip-flopping.

At this time, we are capping at 40 kids.

Please review the attached audition material and come prepared—all material must be prepared.

AVAILABLE ROLES

This beloved story of love, courage, and sisterhood will be reimagined to reflect the rich cultural diversity of our community today. JPA welcomes submissions from young artists of all cultural and diverse backgrounds. While inspired by the original film, our production will not aim to recreate it as we wish to more accurately reflect the people and voices of our community. If your young performer sees themselves as the character than we can too!

We are looking for four (4) young performers. Both roles will be double cast. More information on roles and ages for each role can be found below.

Young Anna – age 8-11, any ethnicity
Young Anna is the younger Princess of Arendelle. Filled with a tremendous amount of light, energy, and love, Anna is a hopelessly optimistic extrovert. She is a strong singer with great comic timing.
Young performer height must be 52 inches or less.

Vocal range top: E5
Vocal range bottom: Bb3

Young Elsa – age 9-12, any ethnicity
Young Elsa is the elder Princess of Arendelle. Next in line for the throne, Elsa was born with magical powers. Fearful of hurting anyone, especially her beloved sister, Anna, Elsa becomes anxious and withdrawn. Must be a very strong singer who can portray Elsa's loving but restrained nature.
Young performer height must be 58 inches or less.

Vocal range top: C#5
Vocal range bottom: A3
