In the beautiful mountainous kingdom of Arendelle, Princesses Anna and Elsa grow up sheltered inside their castle, isolated from the world and increasingly distant from each other. When Elsa is crowned queen, the magical powers she’s desperately tried to conceal from her sister take control, and she flees into the mountains. As a ferocious winter descends on Arendelle, Anna sets off on an epic journey to find Elsa and bring her home – with the help of hardworking ice harvester Kristoff, his loyal reindeer Sven, and a happy-go-lucky snowman named Olaf.
Full of magic, humor, and a stunning musical score, Frozen is a powerful tale of sisterhood, acceptance, and finding the real meaning of true love.

OAKEN, BISHOP
Donovan Lawson is a musician and vocalist whose artistry blends jazz, classical, and contemporary styles. Originally from St. Louis, Missouri, Donovan has called New Orleans home since 2018, drawn to the city’s rich musical heritage and vibrant spirit.
Donovan's musical journey began at age six, singing in his church choir. He later expanded his skills through four years of piano study and, at the age of 11, discovered a lifelong passion for the trombone. His early education emphasized classical, jazz, and eclectic styles, laying a versatile foundation. Under the mentorship of Dr. Dave Dickey, Donovan honed his jazz skills and performed with the St. Louis Metrobones, sharing the stage with renowned New Orleans trombone-rock band Bonerama.
At Missouri State University, Donovan pursued a Bachelor of Music in Trombone Performance under Dr. Jason Hausback and performed as first-chair trombonist with the university’s Jazz Ensemble directed by Randy Hamm. Highlights of his collegiate career include a featured performance at Le Poisson Rouge in New York City as part of the Theater Department Senior Showcase.
Now based in New Orleans, Donovan performs with groups including La Tran-K Band, Revel Force Brass Band, and Symphony of New Orleans.
Beyond performance, Donovan has fostered community through philanthropy and musical outreach with Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia fraternity, believing deeply in music’s power to unite people across cultures and experiences. His calling to New Orleans was also a personal one — inspired by his grandfather’s favorite song, "When the Saints Go Marching In."
Outside of music, Donovan enjoys traveling, exploring different cultures, and relaxing with his dog, Lorin. His personal experiences — including navigating adversity during the COVID-19 pandemic and confronting workplace discrimination for expressing individuality — have strengthened his commitment to authenticity and artistic expression.
Donovan is thrilled to join the team of esteemed individuals at JPAC. His first and most recent credit is the roles of Coach Comet and Boss Elf in Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.
