Leslie directed last season’s hilarious hit Young Frankenstein and starred as bad girl Tallulah Bankhead in Looped. Previous JPAS directing credits include Holiday Inn, for which she also won the Big Easy Award for Best Direction of a Musical, and The Addams Family. Leslie directed and co-wrote Southern Rep’s hilarious original holiday musical, Mandatory Merriment. Other directing credits include Musical of Musicals at Le Chat Noir, This Property is Condemned (Le Petit), Guys and Dolls (NOCCA), The Rocky Horror Show (Tulane), and Little Women (SELU at the Columbia Theatre). Leslie performed extensively on and off Broadway during her 20-plus year career as a NYC-based actor. Selected Film and TV credits include The Big Short, Green Book, NCIS: New Orleans, Beautiful Creatures, Secrets of Sulphur Springs, Hulu Network’s Mike, and two seasons recurring as “Alicia Mayfair” on AMC’s Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches. Leslie currently teaches the next generation of Musical Theatre stars at NOCCA.
Director
Max is a New Orleans based pianist, actor, composer, and educator. Max has previously music directed JPAS’ productions of Jesus Christ Superstar, The View UpStairs, Grease, High School Musical, and Sweet Potato Queens and Loyola University’s production of Urinetown. He has also been on stage most recently in Crescent City Theatre Alliance’s production of Onepiece (Woogie Pringle) and some of his favorite roles were in Nice Work If You Can Get It (Cookie McGee) and My Favorite Year (Benjy Stone). Max works at Loyola University New Orleans as a piano accompanist, teaches piano at the Chase Conservatory for Musical Arts, and plays around town for a variety of events and venues. Max also serves as the music director and pianist/organist at St Augustine’s Episcopal Church in Metairie.
Music Director
Scarlett is a graduate of Northwestern State University. She has been traveling around the United States performing in Cedar Fair shows such as Lights, Camera, Action and Lusty Lil’s French Review. Regional credits include Tiger Lily in Peter Pan, Hunchback of Notre Dame, Chicago, Elizabeth Benning in Young Frankenstein, and Thea Elvsted in Hedda Gabler, as well as featured dancer in Salgado production of Matilda. While in New York, Lancon got the opportunity to learn under choreographers such as Connor Gallagher, Jessica McRoberts, and Luis Salgado. She is currently a faculty member at Velocity Dance Center. Nikki is the JPA Youth Programs Director and Production Manager. Her recent stage manager credits include Noises Off, Willy Wonka Jr., Young Frankenstein, Murder on the Orient Express, Into the Woods Jr., Shrek the Musical, Legally Blonde, and Newsies. She is a graduate of Northwestern State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Theatre and a concentration in Stage Management.

Antoinette de Alteriis (Costume Designer) was bitten by the sewing bug at an early age. She began designing in elementary school and has been a costume creator for decades. She was an improv actor with the Scottish Appin Regiment on the East Coast, a dyer and improv cast member of the Louisiana Renaissance Festival's living history demonstrators, and is the costume designer and co-captain of the Krewe de Jeanne d'Arc. de Alteriis has taught transformative design at Costume College in Hollywood, and is the chapter president for the Gulf Coast chapter of the International Costumers Guild. She is an advocate for crafting in community and has taught at RicRack NOLA, Tulane University, and Jefferson Parish Library. de Alteriis is thrilled to be the Resident Artist/Costume Designer for the 47th season at JPAS.

Heidi L. Bayer (Assistant Costume Designer) comes to JPAS from a long career in the Entertainment Industry that started in the late Eighties. She has worked both in Stage and in Film. Having worked Broadway Shows, Concerts, Conventions and numerous Film and Television productions in all aspects of production the latest in costumes and as an Ager/Dyer. Heidi started with JPAS in April 2024 as the Assistant Costume Designer to Antoinette de Alteriis on Noises Off. Since then she has worked on Fiddler on the Roof, Jr and High School Musical.

Nathan Parrish (Dewey Finn) recently appeared in Jesus Christ Superstar at JPAC and as Charlie Price in Kinky Boots at Cutting Edge Theater. He holds a bachelor’s in music performance from Southeastern Louisiana University and has composed music for Southeastern's dance program. Nathan has performed in numerous theater productions at Cutting Edge Theater in Slidell and 30 by 90 in Mandeville. In addition to his theater work, he plays guitar and sings in his own acoustic cover band, CallTime, and teaches vocal lessons.
DEWEY FINN
Rachel Looney (Rosalie Mullins)’s previous JPA credits include Steel Magnolias (Shelby), Cinderella (Ella), The Rocky Horror Show (Janet Weiss), and How to Kill a Diva (Abelinda). Recently, Rachel starred as Marian Paroo in The Music Man with Summer Lyric Theatre at Tulane, made her debut with the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra in A Night on Broadway at the Lafon Performing Arts Center, and performed the role of Chan Parker in Charlie Parker’s Yardbird with the New Orleans Opera. Other stage credits include A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder (Phoebe) at Le Petit Theatre, Rameau’s Pygmalion (La statue animée) with the New Orleans Opera, The Music Man (Marian Paroo) and Into the Woods (Rapunzel) at Rivertown Theaters, and the Victory Belles of the National WWII Museum. Rachel is a graduate of LSU and Loyola. In addition to her stage work, Rachel is also a screen actor who can be seen in Apple TV’s Blackbird, Amazon’s Daisy Jones & the Six, and Disney’s Secrets of Sulphur Springs.
ROSALIE MULLINS
Danny Rubio (Ned Schneebly) was most recently seen on the JPAC stage in Young Frankenstein and Jesus Christ Superstar. He embarked on a journey to become a true song and dance man 24 months ago, after a 20-year hiatus since he last performed at BAMA. Since then, he has appeared in four Rivertown productions, six shows with The Company of St. Bernard, and has been tapping at NODA.
NED SCHNEEBLY
Melissa McKenzie- (Patty) last performed with JPA as the Soul Angel in Jesus Christ Superstar. She may be new to the New Orleans theater scene, but Melissa has been performing throughout Southern California for over 25 years. Some of her favorite acting credits include Legally Blonde (Elle Woods), The Wizard of Oz (Dorothy), Bye Bye Birdie (Rosie), Seussical the Musical (Sour Kangaroo), Sweet Potato Queens (Floozy Tammy), and Footloose (Ariel). Last February, she had the honor of performing both Canadian and American National Anthems at a Pelicans game.

Olivia Yi (Summer Hathaway) is a 6th grader from Slidell. Previous credits include Young Anna in Frozen Jr. (PJPII High School), Children’s Ensemble in A Christmas Carol (Slidell High School), and several roles at Slidell Little Theatre including Children’s Ensemble in Matilda the Musical, Chip in Disney’s Beauty & the Beast, Nemo in Finding Nemo Jr., Mrs. Wormwood in Matilda Jr., and Flounder in The Little Mermaid (with a nomination for "Best Supporting Actress in a Musical" for SLT's 2023 Ginny Awards!). She was also a Semifinalist in 30 By Ninety Theater’s Broadway Competition in Mandeville. Olivia has been involved in musical theater with SLT’S YATS and taking voice lessons since the age of 3. She also enjoys playing piano, drawing, and sharing her vocal abilities at her church and local community events.

BAILEY HALL (Tomika) is a high school student at NOCCA, Bailey has taken the stage many times, including in Seussical the Musical (Mayzie LaBird) at Archbishop Rummel Genesian Theatre; The Music Man (Amaryllis) at Tulane Summer Lyric; Matilda (Erica) and Grease: School Edition (Jan) at Rivertown; and in High School Musical on Stage (Martha Cox), Legally Blonde (Pilar), and Annie (Tessie) with JPA—to name a few.
TOMIKA
Andrew Letellier (Zach) is an 8th grader at the Waldorf School of New Orleans. When he is not rocking out on his guitar, he can be found rock climbing at the New Orleans Boulder Lounge or studying jazz piano at the Heritage School of Music.
ZACK MOONEYHAM
August Doussan has been learning from local legendary drummers like Johnny Vidacovich and Stanton Moore, from an early age. His first onstage experience was at 18 months old as part of the Cowbell Orchestra with Raw Oyster Cult. At just 5 years old, he began playing on stage with his dad, Mike, showcasing his skills and charm. By age 8, he had co-founded the instrumental groove metal band Hell Priests with fellow musician Jude Hughes, a School of Rock student. Later that year, August joined School of Rock Metairie/New Orleans and quickly rose to become a drummer for the prestigious School of Rock House Band. His musical journey has taken him across 38 states on tour with his dad. Beyond drumming, August enjoys video games, playing basketball, and hanging out with his friends. His journey continues to inspire many young musicians, proving that age is no barrier to talent and passion.
FREDDIE HAMILTON
Merah Benoit's performance career began when she auditioned for a role in the mainstage JPA production of Peter Pan at the age of 5. After her experience in the role of one of the Lost Boys, she went on to perform in other JPA productions including Sound of Music (Marta) and in Rivertown’s Matilda Jr.(Matilda) and Aladdin Jr (Genie). Although Merah’s first love has and always will be live performance she is an emerging film and TV actress with a resume that includes working with many award-winning artists and directors including Will Smith in “Emancipation”, Renee Zellweger in “The Thing about Pam”, Jon Batiste’s music video “Freedom” and her most recent role as Emma Stone’s daughter in “Kinds of Kindness” by award-winning director Yorgos Lanthimos.
KATIE
Drago Han (Lawrence) is a freshman at The Willow School. This is his first JPA production. Previous roles have been Calvin in San (Le Petite Theater), Orin Scrivello in Little Shop of Horrors (Willow School), Mike Teavee in Willy Wonka Jr. (Willow School), Ugly in Honk Jr. (Saint Martin’s), and Carlos in Descendants (Saint Martin’s). In his spare time, he enjoys playing baseball, soccer, piano, and video games.

Eleanor Zafirau (Marcy)’s previous credits include Annie (Annie), Shrek the Musical (Young Fiona), The Wizard of Oz (Dorothy), Matilda Jr. (Matilda), Willy Wonka Jr. (Veruca Salt), Seussical Jr. (Gertrude McFuzz), and Finding Nemo Jr. (Nemo).
MARCY
Annalise Perez (Shonelle) is a 14-year-old sophomore at Young Audiences Charter School. She has been doing musical theatre for two years, and School of Rock is her twelfth theatrical production. You can often find her on the stages of local theaters, such as Rivertown Theaters and Jefferson Performing Arts Society. Some of her favorite roles have been Genie (Aladdin Jr.), Chief Ancestor (Moana Jr.), and Anne Boleyn (Six: Teen Edition).
SHONELLE
Parker Portera-Dufrene (Billy) is a 7th grader at Haynes Academy for Advanced Studies. School of Rock is his 17th stage production and his first mainstage opportunity. Some of his favorite roles include Horton (Seussical Jr.), Charlie Bucket (Willy Wonka Jr.), Young Simba (Lion King Jr.), Ryan (High School Musical), Doody (Grease), Gil (Finding Nemo Jr.), and Rapunzel’s Prince (Into the Woods Jr.). When not on stage, Parker continues his dedication to the performing arts through vocal lessons, tap, ballet, and musical theater classes.

Braiden Rome (Mason) is making his mainstage debut in School of Rock. He has appeared with JPA Theatre Kids! in Willy Wonka JR (Grandpa Joe). He has also appeared with Rivertown Theaters and Rummel Genesians, where his favorite credits include Seussical (Vlad Vladikoff), Mary Poppins JR (Michael Banks), and SpongeBob JR (Mr. Krabs).
MASON WARD
Cooper Andry (James) is a 7th grader at Holy Cross School. He has previously appeared in High School Musical and Finding Nemo, Jr. through JPA Youth Musical Theatre Intensives, as well as Rivertown’s Moana, Jr. He made his acting debut in The Taming of Katy Lou in 2021, where he credits Mrs. Cindy Adams for sparking his love for theater. In his free time, Cooper loves to play baseball, basketball, flag football, and video games.

Laura Toomer (Sophie) is in 9th grade at Mount Carmel Academy. Her credits include Ensemble in The Wedding Singer (City Springs Theatre, Atlanta), Snoopy in You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown (Genesian Theatre), JoJo in Seussical (Genesian Theatre), Ensemble/Reporter/Fan Dancer in Chicago (Genesian Theatre), Brave Girl in Peter Pan (Genesian Theatre), Nancy in Newsies Jr. (Rivertown Theatre), Ensemble in Singin' in the Rain Jr. (Rivertown Theatre), and Ensemble in JPA’s Ballet Goes to Broadway.

Jane Sale (Madison) was last seen on the JPAC stage in The Sound of Music (Marta von Trapp) and Annie (Molly). Jane has also appeared in various “junior” productions, including SpongeBob (Sandy Cheeks), Into the Woods (Little Red), and Mary Poppins (Jane Banks). This summer, Jane attended Stagedoor Manor camp in Loch Sheldrake, NY, where she was cast in the very first performance of Once Upon a One More Time, which will be featured by Musical Theatre International. Jane is an 8th grader at the Willow School, where she starred as Kama in the middle school production of Tortoise and Hare. When Jane is not on stage, you can find her attending voice, acting, and musical theater classes or on the softball field.

Blake Bosley (Ensemble) was most recently seen in Mean Girls Jr. (Cady Heron) at Rivertown Theaters, 13 the Musical (Charlotte) at the RRDG, and as “Hei Hei” in Rivertown’s production of Moana, Jr. Some of her previous credits include Junie B. Jones (Junie B.), Newsies Jr. (Les), Frozen (Little Elsa), and Matilda (Matilda) at Rivertown. When not performing, Blake is a student at Christ Episcopal School in Covington, LA. She loves singing, dancing, and spending time with her friends.

Everly Materne (Ensemble) is an active member of the local and national theatre community, She has enjoyed roles in the Adderly Theatre Conservatory of Austin in Bye, Bye Birdie! (Mrs. Merkle) and performed on stage with Kenny Loggins and James Corden in Santa Barbara as part of the Adderly Company’s 30th anniversary show. Locally, Everly has performed with Adderly Theatre School in Wicked (Elphaba), The Greatest Showman (P.T. Barnum), and Legally Blonde (Kate/Paulette), as well as Ursuline Academy’s Annie (ensemble) and Rivertown Theater’s Descendants Jr. and Mary Poppins, Jr. (ensemble). As a singer, Everly has performed with the NextGen chorus at the Barbershop Harmony Society’s Harmony University and competed at the BHS’s International Chorus Competition in July. Everly is a member of Ursuline Academy’s choir and district honor chorus. When she is not on stage singing, Everly enjoys competitive swimming and sailing as a freshman at Ursuline Academy.

Anna LaNasa (Ensemble) attends Mount Carmel Academy and is in eighth grade. Anna was in JPA Kids’ Into the Woods, Jr. as Granny. Most recently, Anna performed as Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz, Youth Edition; Gretchen Wieners in Mean Girls, Jr.; the Witch in Into the Woods, Jr.; Pearl in SpongeBob, Jr.; and Tamatoa in Moana, Jr. Anna studies musical theater, acting, voice, and dance at Encore Studio.

Dr. Jenna Winston (Mrs. Scheinkopf/Ensemble’s favorite credits include Hodel in Fiddler on the Roof, Fantine in Les Misérables, Cinderella in Into the Woods, and Rona in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. Jenna is the Artistic Director and founder of New Orleans Youth Theatre, a musical theatre training program for school-aged kids.

Ryan Kelly-Moore (Ensemble) obtained his B.A. at the University of Southern Mississippi Theatre program where he performed in various productions at USM and in the community. Some of his favorite roles include Next to Normal (Henry), Phantom of the Opera (Ensemble/Piangi Understudy), Into the Woods (Ensemble), and Spring Awakening (Ensemble). Other favorite roles include Les Misérables (Javert), CATS (Skimbleshanks), and Radio Gals (Mr. Abbott).

Ti Zampino (Ensemble) is a 2023 graduate from the Loyola University College of Music and Media. He has been performing and working in theatre throughout his educational journey for the past 9 years. They’ve been coached vocally both classically and for musical theatre for 6 years, and have been singing since childhood, raised by an opera singer mother. They began performing professionally with Tulane Summer Lyric in Oliver (2023), JPA in The View UpStairs (2023) and Jesus Christ Superstar (2024), and Mélange Dance Company’s The Upstairs Lounge (2024).

Katie Kitchen (Ensemble) recently graduated from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota where she earned a BA in Musical Theatre and a Minor in Dance. While born and raised in New Orleans, she spends most of her time touring the country with The National Theatre for Children to perform educational shows for local schools and organizations. Some of her past credits include Sondheim on Sondheim (Company), The Stonewater Rapture (Carlyle), Legally Blonde (Serena), Girls Like That (Girl in Shoulder Pads), Songs For A New World (Woman 1), and more.

Emily Harville (Ensemble) recently performed in the ensemble for The Music Man and Sweeney Todd at Tulane Summer Lyric. Previous favorite roles include the Fairy Queen in Iolanthe, Katisha in The Mikado, Lady Blanche in Princess Ida, Kate in The Pirates of Penzance, and Mother in 'Night, Mother.

Nina Ballon - (Ensemble)’s favorite credits include Hannah/Bowery Beauty/Nun/Newsie in Newsies at Bigfork Summer Playhouse, Ensemble/Assistant Choreographer in SpongeBob the Musical, Day by Day Track in Godspell at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (#blazeon), and Tour Actor/Director in The Little Mermaid and Peter and Wendy for Missoula Children's Theatre.

Sasha Munchak (Ensemble)’s recent credits include Jesus Christ Superstar, Young Frankenstein, Holiday Inn, Cinderella, and The Nutcracker (JPA), Singin’ in the Rain, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Mary Poppins, and Cabaret (Rivertown), and Anything Goes (SLT), as well as ballet productions with Jefferson Ballet Theatre. Originally from Scranton, PA, Sasha began her dance training with Linn McDonald and studied at the Rockette Summer Intensive, the American Dance Festival, and Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet's Teachers Workshop. Sasha teaches dance and works as the studio director at New Orleans Dance Academy, and as a recruiter with Adeeta Corporate Staffing. She recently earned her MBA at UNO.

Emily Breaux (Ensemble) was last seen at JPA in Jesus Christ Superstar and has performed throughout the New Orleans area for 20+ years. Favorite past shows include Beauty and the Beast (Belle), Into the Woods (Baker's Wife), Hairspray (Amber Von Tussle), and Guys and Dolls (Sarah Brown).

Michael Smith (Mooneyham/Gabe/Ensemble) is a graduate of Tulane University (BFA Musical Theatre) and has been a part of the New Orleans performing arts community since 2006, with the United States Marine Corps Band, Summer Lyric Theatre at Tulane, Jefferson Performing Arts Society, the World War II Museum, and Rivertown Theaters. His first performance with JPA was as Malcom Beinecke in The Addams Family (2021). Smith is a retired Marine Corps officer (32 years), including 3 combat deployments, the Director of the Marine Corps Band New Orleans, and the Head of Marine Corps Field Music at the Pentagon in Washington, D.C. Currently, he teaches high school seniors at the New Orleans Military & Maritime Academy as a Senior Marine Instructor. Past local production highlights include Santa Meets Sousa, a Marine Corps Toys for Tots Holiday Spectacular (Principal Conductor), Captain O’Hurley in two productions of FLY - The Tuskegee Airman Story, The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas (Sheriff), Newsies! (Joseph Pulitzer), Assassins (The Proprietor), A Christmas Story (Ralphie’s Old Man), and King Charlemagne in Pippin.

Allee Peck (Ms. Hathaway/Ensemble) was last seen in the JPA productions of Petite Rouge (Crawfish), Nunset Boulevard (Sister Robert Anne), and Avenue Q (Lucy T. Slut/Others). Other favorite credits include A Christmas Story: The Musical (Ms. Shields - Rivertown), The Little Mermaid (Ursula - Overall Productions), Into the Woods (Jack’s Mother - Rivertown), Zanna Don’t! (Roberta - See Em’ Onstage), and The Marvelous Wonderettes (Betty Jean - RRT). She was a Big Easy Awards nominee for Maggie Jones in Rivertown’s 42nd Street. During the year, she works with Scott Sauber on Overall Pro shows around the Metro school and Slidell area and was also a Patchwork Player for 3 years. She won Flame Magazine’s Best Karaoke Hosts of 2020. During Covid, she started her own business, DJ Allee Cat’s MEOWvelous Karaoke—a one-woman karaoke party experience.

Ty Robbins (Ensemble) holds a BFA in Acting from Oklahoma City University. Originally from New Orleans, Ty is a second-year graduate actor seeking his MFA at UNO's School of the Arts. He most recently was seen in the city joining Mélange Dance Company. Ty is a vocalist at St. Paul’s Episcopal in Lakeview. He has found work both on the stage and in theme parks. Credits include Walt Disney Entertainment, Cedar Fair Entertainment, Jesus Christ Superstar (Simon Zealotes), Assassins (Giuseppe Zangara), The View UpStairs (Patrick), Songs for a New World (Man 2), and The School for Lies (Oronte).
ENSEMBLE
Matthew Welch (Theo/Jeff/Ensemble) was most recently Peter in Jesus Christ Superstar, as well as in the casts of Young Frankenstein and The View UpStairs at JPAC. He has also held roles at Tulane Summer Lyric Theater in The Music Man and Oliver. He has played Lonny in Rock of Ages and Joseph Gillis in Sunset Blvd at the Cutting Edge Theater in addition to other roles throughout the Greater New Orleans area. Nicholas Smith, (Ensemble) a tenor, holds a master’s in music from Loyola University New Orleans and a bachelor of music with a concentration in education from Southeastern Louisiana University. Nicholas was featured in various opera and musical theater performances. Some of his favorite roles included Hysterium in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Beadle Bamford in Sweeney Todd, and Dan in Next to Normal.

Nathan Long (Ensemble) is an actor based in New Orleans. They are currently pursuing a B.A. in Musical Theatre at Loyola University New Orleans. They've most recently been seen in Sweeney Todd at Tulane Summer Lyric Theatre (Ensemble), Jesus Christ Superstar (Philip the Apostle) at JPA, Urinetown (Officer Barrel) at Loyola University New Orleans, and more.
